Mommy & Daughter Afternoon

I had no other kids when I picked Isabel up from school this afternoon so a last minute idea was to take her ice skating. PERFECT DAY we were the only ones on the ice. She loves to ice skate but our days are limited to get there so it was a great afternoon!

Thank goodness for other people...

I have no desire to carve a pumpkin, not for me. Adene and the girls did the little ones, Isabel picked the Eiffel Tower, I am so impressed with Adene's job.

Then our buddy Amanda came over and she did the big one with Isabel, she decided she wanted a cat, Amanda did an awesome job too!
Yay for other people.

Just visiting...

Robin was going on vacation so it was nice to get Salem back for a visit for the week. Isabel was so excited. As much as I missed him, my allergies came back right after he came back in. I think Isabel's are bothering her too! but we will take a few sneezes for a visit

I don't think Gabby appreciated the visit, late night swats at the cage...hehe

Girls always want what they don't have right?

Isabel wanted curly hair so we tried it out, turned out pretty cute but now she wants it everyday...lol So weird to look at her with curly hair.

Isabel's new Pet...

or should I say mommy's new responsibility. As cute as I thought she was in the mall, she is alot of work to bond with. Maybe because I am a little chicken so it is taking much more time then the average person, but it has been a week so far and I am still "towel" holding her. She is freakin cute the way she sleeps on you lap (key word sleeps hehe) here is the link so you can see exactly what a SUGAR BEAR/GLIDER is:

Isabel named her baby GABBY LOVE. We did get a chance to bring her to school in our pouch and she is really getting good at holding her tight when she cries, feeding her every night a piece of apple, and she talks to her in the cage all the time.

She is suppose to live 12-15 years so hopefully I can put in the time, get over the fear because I think she will really be a cute pet.

Breakfast at Belmont Race Track

Mom told me about having breakfast at the race track so being the horse lover Isabel is, last minute we decided to go this morning. It was really nice, you sat inside eating breakfast while watching the jockeys warm up the horses, it was fun to watch. Not a 5 star place to eat but very cute and worth it.

After eating I think it was about 8:30 we went outside to an area to meet BEANIE. They call her a "pony" but I found out that any horse on the track not racing is called a pony. Beanies owner came out to talk to use about all the different gear the jockeys wear, saddles etc. and all about the horses. This is also where we found out today was the last day until April for breakfast and tours!!

I think mom was more excited to pet Beanie then Isabel...lol

After that we went on a tram ride throughout all of Belmont Stables. It was HUGE I was very impressed at the "behind the scenes" They gaves us alot of information that was actually very interesting.

Last we got a lesson on how the starting gates work, and how sometimes a horse gets disqaulified and has to go back to lesson 1... Then the kids got to go into them and when he hit the buttom, bell rang and doors popped open it was priceless to see her face!

It was a great morning I totally recommend it to everyone we were out of there by 9:30 plenty of time for dancing school!

Revlon's Breast Cancer Walk

RISE AND SHINE!! Another year up at the crack of dawn. Dad drove us into the city. It turned out to be a beautiful day but thankfully not as HOT as it was last year. Mom stayed back at the Survivors Tent this year with Isabel and Edie, Pauline and I walked. BOY keeping up with that woman is a challenge Good for her because I am half her age and she was waiting for me...haha
Really was an enjoyable day. Isabel had a great time, she is totally starting to get the concept of raising money for causes and help people out which is really important for me, especially for this, for her MIMI, NANA and millions of other people out there.

They passed out these capes, how cute does she look walking around the city??

WE ACTUALLY DID IT, she learned to ride a 2-wheeler

Isabel can be awesome in the fact when she wants to do something she can learn anything BUT she is not very "athletic" I guess might be the word. She didn't learn to CRAWL until 9 months old, STAND on her own till 10 months old, didn't walk until 15 months old (and we are still working on that one) Jumping in place might come easy for most but not Isabel took her a long time to get that one too. That is why we love swimming I think it is the perfect sport for her.
Saying all that she has a friend Sera who is VERY athletic and at 4 she learned to ride a 2 wheeler. Isabel at this point was on her bike with training wheels, ummmm lets see maybe about 4 times... but now she wanted to learn. I really did try, but after tears and whining I was not a good teacher. We tried the no pedals on the bike but we needed an incline which I don't have unless you count the driveway that leads to a MAJOR busy street. Adene worked with her in the driveway alot and she was starting to get it a little but not happening totally.
So now it was labor day, Adene invited us over for a BBQ and said bring her bike, Craig (Adene's cousin) will be there, who taught Sera. She lives on a dead end street and LOTS of driveways and hills. Craig was awesome, worked with her for 2 hours but she was not having the pedals back on she was balancing great but no pedals. We took a break, ate and honestly I was just calling it a day. She is only 4 didnt NEED to be on a 2Wheeler and it was the end of the summer when sill she be riding anyway?

I put her on the bike with the pedals told her she had to pedal for me at least once I would hold her and when I did let go Sera yelled see you are doing it and that was it she was loving it after that.

I totally appreciate all the work that was put into helping her from EVERYONE. Teaching Isabel things is a tough job she has a lot of self doubt and the "I can'ts" and tears. I do push her when I truly know it is something she CAN do. EXAMPLE I never pushed her to play TEE BALL....lol
So proud of her and she is very proud of herself which is so important!!

Time to Paint

What a project, man when I want something done, it will get done. I decided to pain the living room and it needed a new carpet in the worst way. Each night I would move the furniture out and paint another wall. Sera, Hailie, Adene and Isabel all wanted to help finish it up. They were too cute, very helpful!

Big White space is where I painted around the wall unit the first time a million years ago, this time I thought I should move it out.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

We had such a great vacation. It was nice that Isabel got to spend time with Aunt Eileen, she really enjoyed it. (well Isabel did anyway...hehe) Aunt Eileen was awsome and planned so many shows and things for us. Plus who doesnt love having a pool right in your yard,

beach down the block

and stables nearby. That alone was enough for us.

I really liked the Dixie Stampede show is was really fun. Isabel got really into it, totally had a lot of audience participation, got to eat with your fingers ... would definitely see that again.
Her BUDDY "LARRY" this horse was such a ham, wanted all the attention!!

Okay so maybe the best part was the TIGERS I love the tigers! Isabel was terrified and wanted no part but a little later she decided what the heck, well that was until they almost sat a monkey on her lap instead. THAT photo would have been priceless.

AWWWWW the babies!!

Ripley's Aquarium

Trying to (NOT) touch a Sting Ray!!

We got a chance to meet Adene and the kids at the water park. Here I was thinking how cool 2 separate vacations how great we can meet up and the kids were like Yea WHATEVER just another day

I was so proud of how well Isabel did on the water slides (lets face it I don't have the take chances, daredevil)

Well it was a great trip I hope you will look through the rest of the album to see ALL MILLION photos there are some really cute ones
