Race for the Cure

Today was the Breast Cancer Walk it was so HOT out. The humidity was unbelievable. Isabel and I woke up at 530, drove to Queens and then to the city. We had a really nice day, even though strollers were not allowed we kinda just hung out. After the walk it was time for lunch. We went to a small diner place and then off to the train to get home. Could not wait to get home and shower!!

Hurricane Hanna

We knew the rain was coming, so instead of just sitting in the house we went to Joanie's so Isabel could have someone to play with it I could have company too. Well being the picture taking people we are and all about the photos for scrapping, here is this rain, how do we pass up the opportunity? So poor Joanie rummaged through her house to find enough clothing for 3 kids to play in the rain. (Hence the outfit on Isabel). Anyway we waited long enough to get a little puddle action going. It was raining but not to bad, but the all of a sudden it was pouring, me in my white t-shirt having our kids jump in the street in a Hurricane just for a photo. Cars passed and stared BUT the kids have fun and that is what counts RIGHT???

First Day of School

Awake at 5:45 "mom is it time for school" can you tell she was excited. Getting ready was a breeze she ate so fast brushed her teeth and got dressed with so much cooperation.

OK so it was only orientation but in Isabel's eyes it was the first day. She was disappointed that she wasn't taking the bus "alone, no mommy's" but she loved it. First day her job was the Flag Holder for Pledge of Allegiance, she was acting so shy but was eating up the attention. She also helped the teachers (Ms. Christina, Ms. Lucy, & Ms. Barbara) with garbage after snack time.
