International Day at School

Isabel loves International Day, so do I. I think it is really cute the songs the kids sing and looking at the different costumes. The gym was decorated and there were pictures from the kids hung up all around.

Is this really my kid??

Walks in the door on a FRIDAY at 12noon and says "Can I do my HOMEWORK"? I asked her to wash up and we would eat lunch first and she said nope wanna get my homework done ... REALLY??? I sure hope this lasts longer then Pre-K.

Car conversation....

Driving to swimming this was the conversation:
"mom, whats the deal with China and all those walls"?
I just started to laugh so before I could answer she says:
"Don't tell me I already know all about China"
"OK Isabel what do you know about China" I said, and her response...
"China has a lot of walls, they speak China, they have a lot of picture frames, and they don't wear underwear. BUT mom they do where pants but no underwear under it"

I just laughed and then she claimed that Dora told her this... going to re watch that video in the morning.

New Bike

Isabel was promised a new bike for her birthday but I was having a hard time finding one that would fit her and last more then a year AND I so did not was princess' or any of that on it. ( I know its not for me but if you know me that doesn't work with me...lol) Anyway after a LONG TIME at the bike shop my mom, me and Isabel all agreed on one. WHOO HOOO ready to ride! Not that simple it was way bigger then the old one, she was able to ride no problem but stopping has been an issue. Her poor legs are taking a beaten! We are finally there she is riding (and stopping) awesomely, every night when all the kids leave we are out riding. Love watching her ride because she is so proud of herself and she loves riding, its something we can do together!

Mary in the school play

Totally forgot to post this at Christmas time but was just watching it now and wanted to share!
Isabel got to be Mary in her school Christmas play. Her favorite buddy got to play Joseph they were so freakin cute! She was hysterical wish I had the whole video to show but this is your sneak preview. Might have to turn up your volume to hear her... NOT hahahaha

Easter

The day was beautiful, we got to do the Egg Hunt outside it was perfect


Sunshine, good food and good company, we had a wonderful Easter!

MOVIE NIGHT

Barbie and the Mermaid Tale was the movie of the night. Dance girls came dressed in their pajama's ready for popcorn. They started out pretty good but it didn't take long for the party to head into her room. They had a really good time, Isabel loved having them over. Moms spent time in the kitchen with a few drinks and chatting! We will have to do that again soon!

Trike~A~Thon

This was Isabel's second year doing the school's Trike-A-Thon. It is meant to raise money for St.Jude Children's Hospital, for patients battling cancer. I love her doing this because it is a great way to teach a little kid about helping others, and doing things for others.
While doing this they also had a week in lessons about the safety when riding your bike.
*Always wear your helmet * Never ride in the street *Always be careful near driveways * Always watch where you are going.
It was great Isabel really took the rules and ran with them, really sunk in and taught her safety.



She did awesome, 42 laps around the gym :)

Riverdance

MaryEllen and Rebecca were going into the city to see the River Dance, it was only playing here at Radio City for a week more. We decided since Isabel will be taking Irish step dancing we would go. It was a fantastic show, the dancers are amazing and Isabel totally enjoyed it, in fact she "learned" some new steps and makes sures she keeps showing them to me!





It was a really nice day so glad we decided to go and I love that mom came to I think she liked the show as well!

Happy Saint Patty's Day

Woke up this morning to a mess, that leprechaun who comes each year leaves quiet a mess and always pee's and forgets to flush!

Happen to be one of Isabel's favorites holidays, not sure why or what the big hype is I think it is the thought of "the leprechaun" coming in the house at night to hide the cold coins and making a mess that thrills her! Plus she loves to dress in theme!

Had to get my usual group picture of what kids were at the house that day, CUTIES aren't they?

5 Year Check Up

Went to Isabel's 5yr. checkup, she did awesome. She was prepared for the blood work and the 3 shots. The nurse could not believe that they didn't need someone to help hold her down and at how many questions she asked, me not so surprised. What is the for?, why does the blood look like that?, why do you need so many tubes? Just went on and on! She weighed in at 39 pounds and was and was 42 3/4 inches tall. All is well she is PERFECT :)

Snow Day (again)

Headed over to Adene's, she still had some snow left. Girls have not seen each other in a while too that it was a perfect day.



First Pat tried to have them use the sled BUT the snow was to slushy for them to slide down.



Then they built a snow man came out pretty good I must say.
